Türkiye Dışişleri Bakanlığı Sözcüsü Büyükelçi Tanju Bilgiç, düzenlediği basın toplantısında Güney Kıbrıs Rum Yönetimi ile Yunanistan’ın yeni bir NAVTEX ile KKTC’nin yetki alanlarında araştırma faaliyeti yapmaya hazırlandığı yönündeki haberleri değerlendirdi.
Bilgiç, hem Yunanistan hem Güney Kıbrıs Rum Yönetimi’nin Doğu Akdeniz’de gerginliği artıracak adımlar attığına dikkati çekerek “Akdeniz’de kıta sahanlığımız araştırma gemileri gönderme çabaları devam ediyor. Biz bu tahriklere hem sahada hem masada yanıtlarını veriyoruz. Haklarımızın ihlaline de asla müsaade etmiyoruz.” diye konuştu.
Bilgiç, Rum kesiminin kasım ayında yeni bir sondaja başlayacağını duyurduğunu hatırlatarak bunun gerçekleşmesi halinde buna mukabele edeceklerini söyledi.
Bilgiç, “Bu gerçekleşirse tabii biz de Kıbrıs Türklerinin de haklarını korumak için buna mukabele edeceğiz. Bunu açıkça buradan ifade ediyorum. Türkiye olarak bu tür meydan okumalara gerekli cevapları vermeye devam edeceğiz. Öte yandan Doğu Akdeniz’deki hidrokarbon rezervlerinin daha hakça paylaşımı için Sayın Cumhurbaşkanımızın önerdiği Doğu Akdeniz Konferansı yapılabildiği takdirde bölge ülkeleri arasındaki iş birliği zemini bulunabilir, kaynaklar da hakça paylaşılabilir. Egemen bir devlet olarak Türkiye yeri geldiğinde alabilir. Bu haklarımız her zaman mevcut. Türkiye yeri geldiğinde kullanabilir.”
