Pakistan’da muhalefet bloğunun adayı Şahbaz Şerif meclisteki oylamada başbakanlığa seçildi.
Yerel basındaki haberlere göre, güvensizlik oylamasıyla görevinden düşürülen eski Başbakan İmran Han’dan boşalan koltuk için bugün mecliste oylama yapıldı.
Meclisteki oylamada, Pakistan Müslüman Ligi-Navaz (PML-N) lideri Şahbaz Şerif 174 oy aldı. Seçimleri boykot ederek istifa ettiklerini açıklayan Pakistan Adalet Hareketi Partisi’nden (PTI) eski Dışişleri Bakanı Şah Mahmud Kureyşi oy elde edemedi.
Meclis çoğunluk sınırı olan 172’nin üzerinde oy alan PML-N lideri Şahbaz Şerif, ülkenin yeni ve 23. Başbakanı seçildi.
Başbakanlık için aday olan İmran Han’ın Pakistan Adalet Hareketi Partisi’nden (PTI) eski Dışişleri Bakanı Şah Mahmud Kureyşi, oylama başlamadan önce yaptığı açıklamada, bugün ulusun önünde kölelik ve kendine saygı olarak iki yol bulunduğunu vurgulayarak, seçimi boykot edip toplu olarak istifa ettiklerini söylemişti.
Kureyşi’nin açıklamasının ardından 120’nin üzerinde PTI milletvekili meclisten ayrılmıştı. Meclisten çıkan vekiller, “ithal hükümete” karşı sokaklara ineceklerini belirtmişti.

Pakistan’da parlamentoda dün yapılan güvensizlik oylaması sonucu İmran Han hükümeti düşmüştü.
9 Nisan’da yerel saatle 11.30’da başlayan güvensizlik oylaması oturumu, dün 01.00’de sona ermişti.
Mecliste yapılan güvensizlik oylamasında, Başbakan İmran Han’ın hükümeti, 174 “hayır” oyu almıştı.
